FTCOn Sunday, March 13, MSET's three FTC teams (6165 Cuttlefish, 7390 Jellyfish, and 7641 Bettafish) competed in the NorCal Regional Tournament. After the qualifying matches, the Cuttlefish and Jellyfish placed 1st and 3rd in the Gold Division while the Bettafish placed 2nd in the Silicon Division. After many exciting elimination matches, the Cuttlefish and Jellyfish finished as tournament finalists. The Jellyfish went on to win the Control Award, and the Cuttlefish won the Inspire Award, qualifying for the FTC World Championships in Houston! After the qualifying matches, 649 was ranked 7th, and they were the 5th place alliance captain during elimination. After a tough battle, they lost in semifinals to the 2nd place alliance. However, 649 won the prestigious Chairman's Award at the end of the tournament, qualifying the team for the FRC World Championships! A member of 649 also won the Dean's List Finalist Award.
